We’re working with a leading 24/7 veterinary referral and emergency hospital in Newcastle, New South Wales that is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Dermatologist to join its expanding multidisciplinary specialist team.
This opportunity is suited to a specialist veterinarian seeking a collaborative referral environment with advanced facilities, experienced support staff and genuine work-life balance in a highly desirable coastal location north of Sydney.
About the Hospital
The specialist referral and emergency hospital employs more than 100 experienced veterinarians, referral clinicians, specialist veterinarians, veterinary nurses and animal attendants who provide around-the-clock patient care across emergency and referral services.
For more than 20 years, the hospital has delivered emergency and specialist veterinary care throughout the Hunter region and currently manages more than 10,000 emergency presentations annually.
The purpose-built facility offers comprehensive services including:
• Veterinary Dermatology
• Internal Medicine

• Eight consultation rooms
• Two surgical theatres

The Role
The Veterinary Dermatologist will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary referral team delivering specialist dermatology services across a varied referral caseload.
This position offers flexibility for candidates interested in:

Candidate Requirements
• Veterinary degree recognised for registration in New South Wales, Australia (BVSc, DVM or equivalent)
• Board certification in Veterinary Dermatology or completion of an approved residency training program
• Eligibility for veterinary registration in NSW
• Strong commitment to patient-centred care, ethical practice and teamwork
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Salary and Benefits
• Salary package of $250,000 – $280,000 depending on experience
