Head Vet required for an expanding clinic in the New Territories – Hong Kong

We are currently working with reputable Veterinary hospital based in the New Territories, that is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to lead their multi-Vet team.

The practice

Established in 2016, the clinic was founded on the belief that a sense of wellness is essential to both pet owners and pets, no matter what life stage the pet is at. That is their core philosophy, which is demonstrated through everything they do.

The practice has a mission to give the best possible medical care for the pets and the best pet-care advice to their owner.

The practice is currently operating as a wellness and diagnostic hospital however have plans to shortly start offering a 24-hour service with referrals.

Duties include:

Working closely with the director and clinic manager:

– to achieve the vision and core values of the clinic

– to manage and supervise the veterinary surgeons, nurses and customer service staff, especially their workloads, performance, professional development, and expectations.

– to recruit veterinary surgeons, nurses and customer service staff

– to provide guidance, advice and assistance to the medical team when needed

– to establish and improve appropriate SOP, workflows, etc

– to perform related administrative tasks

– to create a positive and productive work environment

– to foster a learning culture and ensure CPD for the medical team.

Operations:

– Conduct consultations, investigations, and surgical procedures to high clinical standards.

– Adhere to and enforce practice procedures and protocols.

– Conduct clinical audits and investigate/resolve incidents or complaints.

– Maintain accurate clinical records.

– Adherence to HKVSB Code of Conduct

Customer care:

– Lead by example in demonstrating a caring, professional attitude.

– Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient progress and care.

– Ensure exceptional clinical standards and resolve any

Strategic role:

– Work with the management team to ensure a profitable operation.

– Collaborate with department leaders to expand and improve services.

– Foster internal collaboration to deliver excellent patient care.

– Contribute to the overall strategy and analyze data to identify opportunities/issues.

– Maintain practice accreditations and meet ethical requirements

To qualify for this role must be eligible to register with the Hong Kong Veterinary Board. You must also be an experienced Veterinarian with previous management experience or be prepared to take on this responsibility.

In return, the clinic is offering a competitive salary of $120 000 HKD – $150 000 HKD per month + bonuses + holidays + relocation and Visas + CPD.
