Associate Veterinarian – Los Angeles, CA

We are currently working with a long established AAHA Veterinary hospital, based in the heart of LA, that is seeking an associate Veterinarian to join their team.

This hospital has been offering a high quality Veterinary services for 27 years with their state-of-the-art treatments and a full complement of pet services. Whether you need grooming, boarding, pet dispensary, diagnostics, pet dermatology, ophthalmology, oncology, dentistry, pet training, nutritional supplies, or just a health check and vaccinations, the clinic is your one-stop shop for all of your pet needs.

Full diagnostic facilities include X-ray and ultrasound equipment.

You will be supported by a team of 5 DVMs, with 2 care team members per doctor and a medical director.

Schedule

• Full-Time, Part-Time
• Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 6:00pm, Saturday/Sunday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

-Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
-Treat and dress wounds
-Perform surgery on animals
-Test for and vaccinate against diseases
-Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
-Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
-Prescribe medication
-Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high-quality care

Qualifications:

-Veterinary Medicine, Surgical, and Diagnostic skills

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-Ability to work effectively in a team environment

-Experience in small animal care is required

-Knowledge of preventive care and wellness programs

-State licensure and DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school
