If yes, we are currently working with a growing clinic in Barnsley, that is seeking a Head Vet to lead their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the driving force behind the continuous improvement of the practice’s clinical standards and services and to upskill colleagues to support the practice in their aim of being a centre of clinical excellence.

The practice

You’ll get to work in our purpose-built, modern veterinary practice with the most fantastic facilities and a team who are all passionate about providing the very best care to all animals, day and night. The team have a broad range of specialities and many of them are working towards certificates to enhance their clinical skills and the services they’re able to provide.

You will join a state-of-the-art purpose-built surgery, that is light and spacious and equipped with the latest technology.

You will lead a team of 2 Vets and 4 RVNs.

The role

As the Head Vet, you will be a key member of the surgeries management team. The practice is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a high level of clinical expertise who is passionate about delivering outstanding care. You will be confident in a leadership role with the drive and passion to deliver against a strategic vision, coaching and inspiring the team to consistently deliver gold standard, evidence-based care.

The role is to work 4 days per week with 1:4 weekends. There is no OOH but there is an on call if the clinic holds any in patients

In return, the practice is offering a competitive salary of £75000 – £90000
