Job Description:

Are you interested in working in an independent hospital with excellent facilities?

Are you wanting to join a supportive team that encourages growth and development?

Are you a good all-round small animal Vet that enjoys surgery or do you have an interest in imaging?

The reason I’m asking is because we’re currently working with a tier 3 hospital in North Somerset and South of Bristol, that is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Veterinary surgeon to join their team.

The practice:

From the moment you step through the doors, you’ll experience a warm and friendly atmosphere that will instantly put you at ease. The practice’s top priority is to provide your furry, feathered, and scaly friends with the highest standard of care possible so that they can live long, healthy, and happy lives.

They cater to all kinds of animals. Whether you own a cat, dog, bird, exotic animal, wild animal, small mammal or even poultry, they can offer a range of services that are tailored to meet your pet’s specific needs. Whether you’re looking for routine check-ups, vaccinations, pet dentistry, or emergency care, the practice has you covered.

The hospital takes pride in their facilities, which are designed to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your pets. Onsite facilities include: CT, MRI, video endoscopy and all the standard, digital X-ray, Ultrasound and inhouse lab.

The hospital has been performing laparoscopic surgery for the past 12 years so there is the opportunity to develop in this if you wish.

The role:

The role is to join a team of 7 Vets and 7 Nurses.

The role is predominantly based at the main hospital however there will be some consulting only branch work within nearby clinics.

This is a full-time role with weekends on rotation. 1:7 weekends/ Saturday morning

Emergencies are directed to Langfords, and the Nurses are onsite for inpatients. The Vets are included on the Inpatient rota however call outs are very rare.

Salary is negotiable, holidays are 5 weeks plus bank holidays and as well as inhouse training for all staff, the clinic is happy to support individual needs too.
