We’re working with an established AAHA-accredited small animal veterinary hospital in San Antonio, Texas that is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced and collaborative clinical team.

The Practice
This well-equipped companion animal practice provides comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs, managing a varied caseload of wellness, preventative, and medical cases.
Facilities and equipment include:
• Digital radiography
• Ultrasound
• In-house laboratory diagnostics
• Soft tissue surgery facilities
• Modern medical and diagnostic equipment
• Fear Free handling techniques where possible
The veterinary team has more than 100 years of combined clinical experience and offers a highly supportive environment focused on collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth.
The Role
The successful Associate Veterinarian will join a friendly and experienced team delivering high standards of veterinary care across a varied caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
• Routine consultations and preventative healthcare
• Medical workups and patient management
• Soft tissue surgery and diagnostics
• Client communication and relationship building
• Participation in collaborative case discussions
• Supporting a positive and team-oriented culture
Dedicated mentorship is available for new graduates and early-career veterinarians.
Schedule
• Full-time position
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Approximately 1 Saturday per month
• Half-day off during the week when working Saturdays
Hospital hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 6:00pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
• Saturday: 8:30am – 1:00pm
Candidate Requirements
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• Eligible for veterinary licensure in Texas
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service
• Interest in continued learning and professional development
