Job Description:

We are currently working with a well-established Veterinary hospital based in Milliken, CO that is seeking an associate Veterinarian to complement their team.

You will join a team that provides exceptional veterinary care of the highest quality, including the care and dedication that make a difference. You will be part of a 2-doctor team, and supported by an experienced hospital manager, RVTs, a technician assistant and Veterinary assistants.

The practice focuses on providing comprehensive care for cats and dogs.

This is a full-time position and clinic opening hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. You will work weekends on a rotation.

Responsibilities:

-Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
-Treat and dress wounds
-Perform surgery on animals
-Test for and vaccinate against diseases
-Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
-Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
-Prescribe medication
-Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high-quality care

Qualifications:

-Veterinary Medicine, Surgical, and Diagnostic skills

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-Ability to work effectively in a team environment

-Experience in small animal care is required

-Knowledge of preventive care and wellness programs

-State licensure and DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school
