We’re working with a well-established, high-caseload small animal hospital in Redding, California that is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and experienced clinical team. This busy companion animal hospital provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for dogs and cats, supported by a skilled and collaborative veterinary team. The practice is designed to support both efficiency and high-quality medicine, with strong technical support and a structured mentorship program for new graduates.

On-site capabilities include:

• In-house laboratory diagnostics
• Digital radiography
• High-quality ultrasound
• Surgical and medical case management support
• Strong, experienced support staff

The hospital maintains a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning, with a dedicated 6-month mentorship program available for early-career veterinarians.

Schedule

• Full-time, part-time, and rotating schedules available
• Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
• Hospital hours:
  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Caseload

• Small animal practice (dogs and cats)
• Wide range of cases from preventive care to complex medical conditions
• Opportunity to develop skills across general medicine and surgery

Location – Redding, California

Ideal Candidate

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Licensed in California, or eligible for licensure
• Strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Interest in mentorship, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Commitment to high-quality, ethical veterinary care
• Passion for building strong client and patient relationships

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $66,560 – $180,000 annually (based on experience and credentials)
• Up to $75,000 signing bonus for experienced veterinarians (2+ years commitment)
