Associate Veterinarian – Small Animal Practice | Rutherford, NJ | Full-Time

We’re working with a well-established animal hospital in Rutherford, New Jersey, that is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a skilled and supportive team. The hospital offers advanced medicine, modern technology, and collaborative facilities, empowering veterinarians to provide top-quality care in a fulfilling environment.

The hospital team includes 4 full-time doctors and 1 part-time doctor, supported by veterinary technicians and assistants, with 1 tech/VA per doctor for appointments, plus 2 treatment techs/VAs and 2 surgical techs/VAs. A dedicated pharmacy team manages medications and inventory, and 5 client service representatives ensure smooth operations.

The hospital features advanced technology including ultrasound, hands-free radiology, separate dental and surgical suites, laser therapy, and computers in every exam room. The practice is AAHA-accredited, providing a standard of care recognized nationally.

Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship.

Schedule

• Full-Time

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM

• Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Sunday: Closed

Caseload

• 50/50 split between wellness and sick visits

• Salary negotiable based on experience and credentials

• Annual salary range: $120,000 – $135,000

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
