We’re working with an established 24/7 veterinary referral and emergency hospital located in Newcastle, 2 hours north of Sydney, NSW, Australia that is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Internal Medicine Veterinarian to join its growing specialist team.

Operating continuously 24 hours a day, the facility manages more than 10,000 emergency and referral cases annually and provides comprehensive services including:

• Specialist Surgery
• Diagnostic Imaging
• Pathology and Laboratory Services

The purpose-built specialist and emergency hospital features:

• Two surgical theatres

The Role

The Internal Medicine Veterinarian will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary referral team to deliver high-quality patient care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

The role offers flexibility for candidates interested in:

Candidate Requirements

• Veterinary degree recognised for registration in New South Wales, Australia (BVSc, DVM or equivalent)
• Board certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine or completion of an approved residency training program
• Eligibility for veterinary registration in NSW
• Strong commitment to patient care, ethical practice and teamwork
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary and Benefits

• Salary package of $250,000 – $300,000 depending on experience
• Additional 5% production bonus based on invoiced services
