A leading 24/7 emergency veterinary practice in Bakersfield is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. The practice offers world-class medicine, cutting-edge technology, modern facilities, and a skilled team to support veterinarians in delivering exceptional patient care. The team includes 11 doctors, 40 veterinary assistants, 12 registered veterinary technicians, 14 receptionists, 11 kennel assistants, 3 janitorial staff, a dedicated pharmacy assistant, and 5 management team members.

• 7 exam rooms and an overnight sleeping room

• Digital and dental radiographs

• Ligasure and ultrasound

• 2 oxygen chambers

• Dedicated surgical and dental suites

The practice is AAHA-accredited and hosts board-certified cardiologists, criticalists, and dermatologists who visit monthly. Established in 1929, it is the only 24/7 emergency hospital in the area, offering veterinarians the opportunity to see a large variety of cases. Students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship.

Schedule:

• Full-Time, Part-Time, Rotating

• Overnight, swing, and weekend shifts available

• 24-hour operations

• Annual salary range: $180 000+(negotiable based on experience, skills, and credentials)

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university or equivalent
