We’re working with a modern, purpose-built veterinary practice in Morden, South West London, that is seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to lead and develop a dedicated nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RVN ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive, well-established clinical environment.

This well-equipped small animal practice is designed to deliver high-quality clinical care in a spacious, contemporary setting. The team includes six veterinarians supported by experienced nurses and a strong front-of-house team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional client service.

The Role
The Head Veterinary Nurse will play a key leadership role, overseeing the nursing team and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and client experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting RVNs, student nurses, and care assistants
- Maintaining high clinical standards across all areas of the practice
- Supporting team development through training and coaching
- Working collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and support staff
- Contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the practice

Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position
- Average 40 hours per week
- 4-day working week (9-hour shifts)
- 1 in 4 weekends
- In-patient duties
Salary
- £34,000 – £42,000 per year (dependent on experience)

- Strong clinical background with leadership or supervisory experience
