Job Description:

We are currently working with a well-established Veterinary hospital based in Milliken, CO that is seeking a Medical director to lead their team.

This role will provide you with autonomy, ownership, and career growth. It allows you to share in the success of the hospital. This is an outstanding opportunity to continue practicing medicine while establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital like an owner would, but without the financial risks. You’ll have the solid backing of experts in Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Payroll, and more, to help you succeed.

You will join a team that provides exceptional veterinary care of the highest quality, including the care and dedication that make a difference. You will lead a 2-doctor team, and be supported by an experienced hospital manager, RVTs, a technician assistant and Veterinary assistants.

The practice focuses on providing comprehensive care for cats and dogs.

This is a full-time position and clinic opening hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. You will work weekends on a rotation.

Responsibilities:

-Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
-Treat and dress wounds
-Perform surgery on animals
-Test for and vaccinate against diseases
-Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
-Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
-Prescribe medication
-Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high-quality care

Qualifications:

-Veterinary Medicine, Surgical, and Diagnostic skills

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-Ability to work effectively in a team environment

-Experience in small animal care is required

-Knowledge of preventive care and wellness programs

-State licensure and DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school

Salary: Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience, annual salary starting at $130,000 – $150,000 plus stipends, production, and bonus potential
