We’re working with an established small animal veterinary practice in Carmichael, CA, that is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Director to lead its clinical team. Role Overview
The Medical Director will provide both clinical leadership and hands-on veterinary care. This individual will guide a collaborative team, uphold high medical standards, and foster a positive, growth-oriented work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of veterinarians and support staff

  • Deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care for cats and dogs

  • Perform procedures including spay/neuter, mass removals, laceration repair, and dentistry

  • Oversee clinical protocols and ensure adherence to best practices

  • Mentor associates and promote ongoing professional development

  • Build strong client relationships based on trust and empathy


Facilities & Technology
The practice is equipped with modern veterinary technology, including:

  • Digital radiology (including hands-free capabilities)

  • Ultrasound

  • In-house diagnostic laboratory

  • Dental x-ray

  • Access to nearby 24-hour specialty and emergency care

  • Accreditation by American Animal Hospital Association


Schedule

  • Full-time

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM


Compensation & Benefits

Salary:

  • $66,560 – $180,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
