Job Description:
Are you interested in working in the northeast gateway of Scotland’s largest national park, the Cairngorms, for a truly mixed Veterinary practice?
You will be based in a fantastic location, surrounded by outstanding beauty with the national park and the Moray Firth Coast. The area offers many outdoor activities from skiing, hill walking, mountain biking, surfing and paddle boarding.
I’m currently working with a mixed Vet clinic based in Moray, that is seeking a veterinary Surgeon to complement their team.
The practice
The surgery has been serving the local farming community for the past 35 years. Their caseload is approximately 70% small animal, 15% large animal and 15% equine, allowing for preferences.
Both of the surgeries are modern and fully equipped to a very high standard, and the clinic handles a wide range of small animal surgeries in-house, including orthopaedics. They have a progressive approach to large animal care, with most of their farmers actively participating in health planning. The equine work is conducted to a high standard, supported by DR X-ray, and video endoscopy.
The role
The clinic is looking to hire a mixed animal veterinary surgeon to join their team of 5 Vets, 5 RVNs, 1 student Veterinary Nurse, 1 practice manager and 5 support staff.
You will join a collaborative team where case discussion is encouraged and further growth is supported.
The practice are happy to offer flexible working for this role, whether you want your rota to work around school holidays, or you’re looking for full time hours, this role can offer a work life balance to suit you.
The full time rota is to work 40 hours per week over 4 to 5 days per week. The clinic is happy to accommodate part time hours, and the role would include large animal out of hours which is 1:4-1:5. The small animal out of hours is currently being outsourced.
In return, the clinic is offering a very competitive salary of up to £70 000.
Other benefits include:
6.8 weeks holiday incl. bank holidays
Private medical insurance
£1250 CPD allowance
Certificate support
Pension 5% employee/3% employer
The practice is happy to offer sponsorship.
