Permanent Experienced Vet job for an independent clinic based in Redcar, North Yorkshire – Full time hours

If yes, we are currently working with a lovely, independent practice based in Redcar, that is seeking a small animal Vet to join their team.

Redcar is a seaside town in North Yorkshire, England, and is commutable from Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Marske, Saltburn, Normanby, Eston, and Guisborough.

The practice:

Located in the heart of Redcar, this independent clinic was established to help support Veterinary care in the local community. After huge renovations and modernisation, they opened their doors to new Clients and their pets in October 2025.

The practice employs a team of dedicated vets, veterinary nurses and receptionists, offering individual areas of expertise. No matter what species or breed, their experienced team are on hand 5 days a week to ensure peace of mind for their clients and to provide exceptional service and care for their beloved pet.

Services and facilities include: Nursing clinics, state of the art digital X-ray and Ultrasound, inhouse lab and online prescription service.

The role:

The practice is hiring for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

This is a permanent position, and the role is to be part of a team of 2 Vets, 2 RVNS and 2 receptionists.

You’ll be part of an enthusiastic, close-knit team, supported by experienced owners who are present, approachable, and passionate about what they do.

The role is to currently work 4 days per week, Monday-Friday, and as the practice establishes, the rota will also include 1:3 Saturday mornings.

Out of the two Vets, you will be the most senior, so you must be a good all-round GP Vet.

The role may involve mentorship and support, so you must feel comfortable in offering this.

Case discussion is supported and encouraged and you must be a team player.
