We’re working with a leading 24/7 multi-specialty referral and emergency veterinary hospital in Los Angeles, California that is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Specialist to join the team as Specialty Medical Director.

The Role

The Specialty Medical Director will combine clinical responsibilities with leadership duties, helping guide the medical quality, clinical standards, and future direction of the hospital.

Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering advanced specialty veterinary care
• Supporting and mentoring specialists, interns, and residents
• Maintaining high medical and ethical standards
• Collaborating with hospital leadership and operational teams
• Supporting hospital growth and clinical excellence
• Participating in clinical governance and case discussions

The successful candidate will receive support from an experienced regional leadership structure and a large network of veterinary specialists.

Candidate Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• Board-certified specialist or residency-trained veterinarian
• Eligible for veterinary licensure in California
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to advanced patient care and clinical excellence

Salary & Benefits

• Salary range of $250,000 – $350,000 depending on experience and specialty
