Job Description:

We are currently working with a well-established clinic based in South London that is seeking a surgery focused small animal Vet to join their team.

This role is easily commutable from London, as well as parts of Kent and Surrey


The practice

The practice is passionate about providing the very best care to every pet that comes through our doors, day and night.
To ensure the care that the clinic is offering is the very best, they’re constantly working on new initiatives to support skill gaps and they make sure CPD is continuous and happening across all levels of the surgery.
Many of the clinical team members have either achieved or are working towards various certificates, including  emergency & critical care and small animal surgery. One of the Vets has a keen interest in dentistry. The practice currently has a team of 5 Vets and 4 RVNs. The  clinical team are well-supported by the Customer Experience Manager and team of Customer Experience Coordinators.
Facilities include: Biochemistry, Haematology, Urinalysis, Microscopy, Dental X-ray, X-ray, Ultrasound, Orthopaedics and Tonopen.


The role

The clinic is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, pro-active small animal Veterinary Surgeon, who is passionate about providing the very best clinical care. You will be a team player, and keen to get stuck in, and support and develop your colleagues. You’ll have excellent communication skills and thrive on the variety in caseload at the practice.

You will have a passion for surgery and will be capable of performing advanced soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics.

Working Hours & Flexibility

The full-time vets typically work a 4-day week, with a consistent day off to support a healthy work-life balance. Each shift is 9 hours long and includes a mix of consulting and surgical duties across the week. To support effective communication and admin, every vet has a dedicated hour each day for administrative tasks—built right into the working day.

The weekend rota follows a 1-in-4 pattern.
Clinic opening hours are: Monday – Friday 08.00-20.00, Saturday 08.30-16.00, Sunday 08.30-16.00.
